LOL! My grandmother could definitely be a character in a book! She's got the spunk and the agressive intelligence to be a two-faced family matriarch. Love it!

I loved "Wolverine: Origins" too. Anything with Hugh Jackman actually. He's so beautiful. He also makes a funny cameo in "X-Men: First Class".

Honestly though, Michael Fassbender is a new favorite of mine. Check him out in "Jane Eyre". He's so enigmatic and sexy. And James McAvoy never seems to fully disguise his Scotish accent. Too thick and too yummy. :)

I was really disappointed with the ending of "Thor" mainly because I don't think they're going to do a sequel. Chris Hemsworth will reprize his role as Thor in "The Avengers" but I'd be shocked if Thor is revisited in his own movie. It'd be nice to have some closure though especially regarding him and Jane.

Yeah, TANGLE OF NEED still needs to grow on me. It reminds me of the old bodice ripper covers. All it needs a scantily clad woman in the lower right corner and BAM! Oh well. They can't all be winners but you'd think with the Psy-Changeling series going hardcover, they'd put more into the cover look.

Wow, you're grandma sounds like a piece of work. I'm sorry you got hit with excess aggression. Mine, while sincerely annoying, is still somewhat harmless. But she's 79 and showing no signs of slowing down so I anticipate that the anger, while passive aggressive now, may evolve into something more extreme as she ages.

I'm glad your family has been able to heal with your grandmother's passing. (((HUGS)))

Your grandma sounds like mine. She always had (she died two years ago) to be "mad" at somebody and since my mom was her least favorite child and favorite target, I was usually guilty by association. And then everyone would have to make nice for no real reason. When she died, my mom (and the rest of us) was relieved and even though that sounds like a horrible thing, it really wasn't. What's the saying about how it takes so much more energy to be mean than it does to be nice? Something like that :) I do have some good memories of her but it's hard to dig them out from under the bad ones.

I'm sorry that you've had some, well, rough time with family matters. I can simple picture your grandmother as you told your story, and I can easily see her as a character in one of the many books we read, causing problems yet acting innocent to it all.

I've yet to watch the newest X-Men, but I understand what you mean about prequels. I think Wolverine's story is my favorite movie in that series ... Though that could be due just as much to the fact that it's all about Hugh Jackman as it is the actual storyline... :D Lilting brogues, huh? Definetly have to watch it then!

I just watched Thor last weekend, actually. And while I have to agree that it wasn't quiet all that I had hoped for, I was still interested (maybe a 3 or 3.5 rating). Perhaps a combination of the mythology behind it and the (fairly) hunky man playing the God of Thunder led me to this rating? :D From the way it ends (or doesn't, really), I hope they have a sequel planned. But more importantly, I hope any sequel(s) are a bit more captivating storyline wise than this was.

I'm still not "lovin'" Tangle of Needs cover... if they just had the hunk on it, it would have been perfect. But the glitter and fabric layering? Ick... However, I won't hold this against Singh, as I enjoy her work and know it's not her fault anyway. I'll just put a stretchy fabric cover over it when I read it--you know, the ones kids put on their textbooks? :D Problem solved. Lol.

As to my life... well, not much new on the homefront. Just trying to get back up and running with The Book Palace. Managed to finish a review today (yeah!) and should have it up in the next day or so. Almost done with the next book I'm reviewing, so at least I am (slowly) making progress.

Hope the remainder of your week is a good one, filled with hunky men, even if most of them are only in fictional worlds! :D
