No sooner has she returned to herself when the voice once again commands her to invite him in but this time it's not from the woman's apartment next door. He's at her balcony.

She knew from the first that he would be different and when she opens the door, the fact that he's on her balcony doesn't even give her the slightest pause. He has what she needs and he wants what she has. Mutual understanding dawns and they allow their desires to ignite. In each other, they've finally found what they've always needed.

This was my first read by Delilah Devlin and it won't be my last. This short was as hot as it was passionate. It captivated me from beginning to end. He, a vampire, is a being of immense strength and at any moment, he could have overpowered her and made her enjoy it. But instead he's impossibly gentle. While she, a succubus, opens her mind to his penetration and allows the heated desires that she's obtained to wash over him in waves. They form instant trust without ever disclosing their names but you know that whatever started in that room, doesn't end there.

The only downside to this piece was that it's tantalizingly short! I couldn't believe it when my rapid flip of the pages led me to the end. At the very most, I had perhaps thirty pages of undiluted escapism. Needless to say, I was devastated.
